Rite Control LLC (“Rite Control,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates HMI Editor, HMI Viewer, and ritecontrol.com. This policy explains how we handle information connected with those services.
1. Summary
We value privacy and aim to collect as little information as possible. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or knowingly collect personal information through HMI Editor or HMI Viewer unless it is voluntarily provided or required for a requested service.
2. HMI Editor and HMI Viewer
These apps are tools for creating, viewing, and interacting with human-machine interface projects. To the best of our knowledge, they do not collect, store, or share personal data for marketing, analytics, profiling, third-party advertising, or cross-app tracking.
If the apps access device features such as the local network, files, or notifications, that access is used to provide the functionality requested by the user.
3. Website information
Ritecontrol.com may receive limited information you choose to provide when you contact us, request support, or ask about our products. We use that information only to respond or provide the requested service.
Forum accounts store your email address, public display name, and securely hashed password and recovery code. Discussions and replies show your display name and posting date publicly after moderation. Your email, password hash, and recovery information are not displayed publicly. Contact us to request account or post removal.
4. Service providers
We may use service providers, including Twilio, to enable communications or website functionality. Information needed to send or receive a communication—such as a phone number, message content, and delivery details—may be processed on our behalf. We do not use this data for advertising or sell it.
5. Cookies and automatic data
Ritecontrol.com is not intended to use cookies or tracking technologies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Hosting providers may automatically process basic technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, request time, and server logs for site operation, security, and troubleshooting.
The forum uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out removes that session. Hashed network and account identifiers are used for temporary abuse-prevention limits.
6. Data sharing and retention
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the services, when required by law, or to protect rights, security, and operations. Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, keep appropriate records, comply with legal obligations, or protect the services.
7. Children’s privacy
Our apps and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your choices and regional rights
